Townsville, QLD, Australia 21 August 2015 – Menninger Capital has advised Supported Options in Lifestyle and Access Services Ltd (SOLAS) on its first successful merger with fellow Not-For-Profit organisation Thuringowa Job Skills Inc (Jobtrain).
The merger is of strategic significance as it positions SOLAS to be a leader in the delivery of workplace mental health training and policy development. The demand for courses such as Mental Health First Aid, in particular Indigenous Mental Health First Aid is growing and the merger allows SOLAS to respond to market demand. This is a tangible step in the commencement of SOLAS’ expansion plans to deliver services to communities across Northern Australia.
Whilst not financially material overall (given the scale of the SOLAS’ established operations), the merger is expected to significantly strengthen both organisations as a whole.
